The Lav Urchins

The Lav Urchin windscreens are made to use with lavalier mics placed on the outside of clothing using a clip or other fixture. Each Urchin package comes with a lav foam and short-length black synthetic fur cover (grey and white coming soon). This gives you the option of two levels of wind protection and are perfect for use in interviews, capturing dialogue or for plant mics. The Urchin fur covers are sized to firmly fit over mics like the COS-11, DPA 4060 and DPA 6060. They have a unique blue band which holds them firmly into place. The lav foams can be also be used by themselves and fit universally on most lav mics. The fur can also be cut back for use when hiding mics under clothing to reduce rustling noise.
